The East Wing Cottage is situated at the back of the house, next to the "chicken field" which was originally the orchard.
This cottage is in part of the very oldest part of the house and is one of the original buildings of which the old Little Bray House comprised before the extensive extension and modernisation in the 1920s.
This cottage has many original features, including undulating floors and lath and plaster walls and ceilings.
Up until the mid 1980s, the upper floor of this cottage was a part of the main house, providing additional accommodation for the family.
In days gone by, the ground floor was used as the estate office - hence the wooden safe inset into the wall beside the fireplace.
